What systematic actually means here

- Endpoints declare their own status. What the site covers, what it publishes, how fresh it is, and who it is connected to, in files an agent can read without a person in the loop.
- Somebody is measuring. Which crawlers came, what they took, which pages they returned to. Otherwise every change is a guess with no feedback.
What it is not
It is not a score you buy and it is not a certification anybody is required to recognize. The number attached to a site is a summary of things that are individually checkable, which is the only kind of score worth anything.
It also is not a substitute for having something worth finding. A perfectly instrumented site about a subject nobody is asking about is a well-organized silence.
