Structural Issue

A finding whose cause sits above the page, in the architecture, rendering model, or hosting, and cannot be fixed by editing content.

Also known as Under-the-hood issue. Updated .

What it means

Some problems are not on the page. They are underneath it. Content assembled in the browser after load, a response that is ninety-eight percent script, a server that takes four seconds to answer, navigation that only exists once JavaScript runs. You can rewrite every word on that page and none of it changes.

QuickRankAI classes these separately and says so plainly, because telling someone to write a better meta description when their content never reaches a crawler is worse than saying nothing.

The part a short definition leaves out

One structural finding is not a crisis. Three of them together usually means the same decision is causing all three, and the useful conversation is about that decision rather than about the findings.
