A canonical pointing at another domain is either a serious mistake or correct syndication, and nothing visible on the page says which. Two different spellings of a company name might be a rebrand in progress or two entities that genuinely drifted apart.
QuickRankAI flags these as worth a closer look and scores them at half weight rather than calling them failures. Guessing confidently in either direction would be less useful than saying what was observed and who has to decide.
The part a short definition leaves out
Half weight is deliberate. Scoring an unknown as a pass hides it. Scoring it as a failure punishes sites for doing something correctly. Half is the honest position for something that has not been established either way.
